It has been a little while since we have seen any new maps, and it just so happens that Martin "Killer" Kilcoyne and Andrew "Thanatopsis" Palmer have created an 8 deathmatch map pack. It will actually install itself in the \quake2\ktimpakt\ directory and includes some skins and game code, but you can rename the PAK0.PAK file and put it in your \quake2\baseq2\ directory and play them on any server.
The file is available from my ftp site using the above link, or you can head over to the KT-imPAKt home page and check out all the goodies from there.

It is that time again...I have searched the net once again and found some juicy new levels. Thanks to friends on Gumby Death and the attendees of Gumby Fest for helping playtest these bad boys. As usual there are 10 new maps including a couple of Quake 1 remakes. Lots of time and energy have been put into these levels, so if you dig them stop by the authors' websites or drop them an email to show 'em some love.
These maps are all pretty big, so the download had to be broken into two separate files. You will need to get both of them to get all the maps. Some of the maps also include custom textures, so the default directory on these files will just be \quake2\ instead of the usual \quake2\baseq2\maps\.

So without further ado, here is the second map pack with 10 more fun frag filled levels! They were made by different authors who put a lot of work into them. Stop by their websites or drop them a note if you like their levels.

They were made by different authors who put a lot of work into them. Stop by their websites or drop them a note if you like their levels.

The nice fellas over at FearTech have created 6 brand spanking new deathmatch levels from scratch. Some are big, some are small, but I think all are pretty fun. I have modified the files from their web site so that only the .BSP files are in the archive.
